Ever heard of a 4 seater hypercar? Well here is the new "family beast" by Koenigsegg, the GEMERA. What makes it so amazing is that it has a 3-cylinder in-line engine and 3 motors which can develop 1677 HP and 3499.366 Nm of torque.

KOENIGSEGG GEMERA
Koenigsegg was the first car manufacturer to set a world record of the world's fastest car with its Jesko, which had a top speed of over 300 mph (click here to know the current fastest car in the world). Talking about the Gemera it can go from 0-62 mph in just 1.9 secs.
Gemera's Engine:-
Gemera is the first hypercar in the world which is a 4-seater. The company is well-known for the high-performance V8 engine, but this time they are different. Gemera is equipped with a 2.0-liter in-line 3 cylinder engine and 3 motors. The 3-cylinder assembly is nicknamed a "tiny friendly giant" by the company. This assembly itself develops 592 Hp and 600.62 Nm of torque. The assembly is made to run with 3-motors which are then connected to Koenigsegg's single-speed direct-drive transmission system.
How it works?
The Freevale system of Gemera has a unique ability to control the intake and exhaust valve independently. For any engine load, the intake and exhaust valve can be controlled. Then the free valve system decides how to operate according to the driving condition hence this results in maximize performance, minimize fuel consumption, and cleaner emission.
Surprisingly the Gemera doesn't have a camshaft, this runs on Koenigsegg's free valve which uses a solenoid to activate and deactivate the intake and exhaust valve. Freevalve doesn't limit the variable valve timing. This assembly along with the cylinder deactivation is said to be more fuel-efficient, in-fact the 2.0-liter three-cylinder is 20% more efficient than a typical 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine (both in-line).
Talking about the range, while on a 15.0 kWh battery it can go 31 miles (as claimed), and when in hybrid mode it can go 590 miles.
The front wheel is equipped with a 395hp motor while the other two are attached to the rear wheels. The chassis is made up of carbon fiber tub and aluminum sub-structures. The wheels are of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear.
The interiors are also well equipped with a large 13-inch central display (one at the front and another at the rear), gauge cluster, and two-screen for side view mirror and a rearview mirror.
The pricing will be roughly around $1.9 million.
