THURSDAY - BMW launched its most affordable sedan at Rs. 39..30 Lakhs, the new BMW 2 SERIES GRAND COUPÉ, in India. The new 2 series falls below the 3 series. BMW unveiled its 2 variants. First, 220D Sport at Rs. 39.30 Lakh and 220M at Rs. 41.4 Lakh.
BMW also stated that they will launch a 220i Petrol variant which will join the line-up soon. The special thing about this BMW is that it will be assembled in India's Chennai plant. The 2 series GC will compete with Mercedes's A-Class and Audi's A3 sedan.
BMW also accepted booking before the launch at just Rs. 50,000 as a token.
The BMW is compiled with an 8.8 inch MID, dual-tone interior theme, dual-zone climate control, frameless doors, electrically adjustable memory seats, and shark fin antenna. The centre console has a 10.25-inch touchscreen display, smart iDrive technology, BMW gesture control, Android Auto, Apple's CarPlay, ABS, auto air conditioners, rearview cameras, 6-airbags and much more.

As the company also promised about the petrol variant, the BMW 220i is powered with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine which produces 192hp at 280Nm of torque.
