SpaceX launched 4 astronauts to ISS, Crew 1 Mission

Today, Nasa and SpaceX launched its 4 astronauts to ISS. The mission was named as Crew 1 Mission. It was scheduled on November 15 but due to unpleasant weather conditions it was delayed.

These astronauts will be in the orbits after 27 hours, i.e., 11;00 P.m. on Monday and will join 2 Americans and 2 Russians in Space Station for 6 months. 

During the launch the cabin temperature was little more than normal but SpaceX President, Glynne Shotwell said "She's just fine" during the press conference.

As soon as the Falcon was in the air, SpaceX transmitted live images to the audience. 

US President Elect, Mr. Joe Biden tweeted "testament to the power of science and what we can accomplish by harnessing our innovation, ingenuity, and determination."



The new Dragon Capsule became the first spacecraft to be certified by Nasa after 40 years. The launch vehicle used was Falcon 9 which is a reusable launch vehicle. The Dragon Capsule after the mission will splash onto the surface of water just like Apollo.
SpaceX will be launching more Crews into the space in 2021, in which 1 launch is scheduled in Spring, and 4 cargo refueling mission over next 15 months.
