Amazon recently announced their tie-up with Rivian for building a custom all-electric delivery truck for the entire world. The truck is similar to normal hybrid delivery trucks ( though it has a lot of rounded edges).

Amazon unveiled this van on Thursday. This vehicle has been built with state of the art technology, i.e, more sensors are integrated and also has driver-assist technology.

Amazon said they are expecting 10,000 vans to be on road for delivery by 2022 and over 110000 vans by the year 2030.

"When we set out to build our custom delivery van, we wanted to make it different from normal delivery vans. We wanted our drivers to love while driving it and customers to feel excited while its been driven from their neighborhood," said Ross Rachey, Director of Amazon's Global fleet and product. "We combined with a start-up company Rivian by using our delivery logistics knowledge and the result is what you see-

"THE FUTURE OF LAST MILE DELIVERY."

Amazon didn't reveal any specifications of battery, range, and all but it has a built-in Alexa. According to us unlike most of the vans, it will also have cameras all-around the van for a 360-degree view, parking assist, lane assist, internet connectivity for tracking a package, GPS, and Amazon's voice assistant, ALEXA for hands-free navigation.

There will be 2 doors at the front and a slider door on the rear which will make it easy to access the packages. The driver's side door is made extra-tough. Amazon also said there is a "dancefloor" inside the cabin for easy movement of the driver ( we can expect a lot of Tik-Tok videos).
