Tesla in India has been a dream for many people. Elon Musk once in 2019 hinted that Tesla could show up in Late 2019, but nothing happened.
On September 10, 2020, Tesla talked to Government officials of Karnataka, India, about building a RESEARCH CENTRE (R&D center) in INDIA.

The rumors about Tesla coming to India has been in the air since 2016, but no official news came ahead.
Economic Times, confirmed the news of R&D Centre in Bangalore, India.
Bangalore has been a technical valley in India. One can get all the workforce with exuberant talent at a cheaper rate than any other country.
If the talk between Tesla and the Karnataka Government turns into a successful conversation, India will be a second home for the R&D of Tesla after the United States.
This will also help the Indian Market for increasing job opportunities. Indian Market has estimated to make Rs 50,000 crores from EV till 2025.
Today, i.e., 3rd October 2020, one page called Tesla India Club replied to Elon Musk's post asking about the chances that Tesla would come to Indian Market.
Luckily Elon replied and said "Next year for sure". This reply made Indians go crazy and was all over the Internet.
