Le Mans, an Extraordinary Racing Event hosted by Automobile Club de I'Ouest (ACO). The first Le Mans was hosted on 26th May 1923 and ended on 27th May 1923.
It was won by Chenard-Walcker which was driven by Andre Lagache.

This year Le Mans was hosted virtually on 13-14th of June 2020, which was won by Rebellion-Williams eSports.
Le Mans is held on a circuit called Circuit de la Sarthe, which is composed of closed public roads with dedicated sections for racing.
This year Le Mans is scheduled on 19th and 20th September from 6 p.m. onwards (IST)
There are a total of 4 categories:-
LM P1, LM P2, LM GTE PRO, LM GTE AM
LMP1-
LM P1 is the Le Mans Prototype 1 which is classified only for Manufacturers. It includes LM P1 Hybrid with Energy Recovery System (ERS) and LM P1 with no Energy Recovery System (ERS) which is only reserved for private teams.

LMP2 -
LMP2 is a racing car with no minimum required. It is a closed cockpit, doomed only to the team with is independent of manufacturers or engine supply.
The criteria for LMP2 is that the complete car without an engine or any electronic equipment must not exceed € 483,000.

LM GTE PRO:-
The Le Mans Grand Touring Endurance (LMGTE) came into the picture in 2011 and includes cars derived from street models that are used for everyday road manufactured by some big names in the Automotive market:- ASTON MARTIN, BMW, FERRARI, FORD & PORSCHE.
The base model for sports must include 2 doors, 2 or 2+2 seats, opened or closed and it can be used on road with a legal permit and available for sale.

LM GTE AM:-
The LM GTE AM must feature a car that is one year older than that of the LM GTE PRO. Their line ups include professional and amateur drivers.

The Le Mans 2020 will be available on EURO SPORTS and will telecast from 6 p.m. from the 19th of September to the 20th of September.
