Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the 125cc Avenis with a starting price of Rs. 86,700/- (ex-showroom, Delhi), in India today. Bookings for the scooter will begin from the first week of December.
Available in 2 forms – Ride Connect Edition and Race Edition – the new scooter is the third model of its kind with a 125cc heart that the Japanese brand currently sells in India.
The stylish scooter featuring a dual-tone paint scheme with sporty graphics, has a LED headlamp and taillights, a meter visor, split grab handle, alloy wheels, and an external fuel cap.
It also has features like an engine kill switch, side stand interlock, dual luggage hooks, under-seat and front storage, a USB charger, and a digital instrument display with smartphone connectivity, missed calls, SMS, and WhatsApp alerts, caller ID, turn-by-turn navigation, among other features.
While the Ride Connect Edition is available in 4 colors – Matte Fibroin Grey with Lush Green, Pearl Blaze Orange with Glass Sparkle Black, Pearl Mirage White with Fibroin Grey, and Matte Black with Glass Sparkle Black – the Race Edition is offered in a single Metallic Triton Blue paint, inspired by the brand’s MotoGP racers.

Power comes from a 124.3cc air-cooled engine that delivers a claimed 8.7 PS and 10 Nm of torque, which is the same as the Burgman Street 125. The motor is teamed with a CVT.
Weighing 106 kg (5.2-liter fuel tank), the Avenis rides on a 12-inch front wheel (90/90-section tire) and a 10-inch rear wheel (90/100-section rubber).
Equipped with a telescopic front fork and a mono-shock at the rear, the scooter features a disc brake upfront and a drum brake in the back.
