BMW has launched the 2021 M5 Competition with a price tag of Rs. 1,61,90,000/- (ex-showroom) in India today. Revealed last year, the facelifted 2021 M5 Competition comes with some minor styling updates and a retuned chassis.

Visually, the sports sedan looks pretty much the same as before. But, when looked closely, one can see that it has an updated kidney grille, revised Laser lights with L-shaped light tubes, and restyled front apron.
It also has larger air intakes now and the central air dam incorporates the radar sensor for the Active Cruise Control (ACC) system. At the rear, the LED tail lights get new 3D design and L-shaped graphics, while the bumper has also been redesigned.
Black styling details all over the exterior of the car and even the quad tips of the M Sport exhaust system are finished in Black Chrome.
BMW M5 CompetitionStepping inside, customers will notice that the car now has a 12.3-inch central touchscreen and a new 2-button operating concept (borrowed from the BMW M8) in the centre console.
While the ‘M Mode’ button lets the driver toggle between the ‘Road’ and ‘Sport’ settings, the ‘Setup’ button allows access to configure the powertrain and chassis. Also, the car has a ‘Track’ mode too.
The 2021 BMW M5 Competition is powered by a 4.4‑litre V8 engine (making 625 HP and 750 Nm) that comes mated to an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission. The engine’s power is sent to all 4 wheels and the M xDrive system has a 2-wheel drive setting as well.
Being a performance sedan, the facelifted M5 Competition sprints to 100 km/hr from nought in 3.3 seconds, to 200 km/hr in 10.8 seconds and can go on to hit 304 km/hr tops.
BMW M5 CompetitionHaving fitted the car with new shock absorbers borrowed from the M8 Gran Coupe, BMW says the 2021 M5 Competition offers even better driveability and handling at the limit.
