This week has been a week of hypercars in both gas and electric versions. Also, Toyota launched its US Edition of the GR86 and a special edition of SUPRA. The Rivian Automobili revealed its hyper beast, the NEVERA. Let's discuss all the cars from this week.
In honor of its 95th anniversary, Milanese coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera unveiled its latest creation, the Arese RH95. Marking another milestone in the company's history, the Touring Superleggera Arese RH95 embodies a streamlined design philosophy and enviable Italian finesse.
Built on a well-known mid-engine exotic, which we highly suspect is a Ferrari 488 Pista, the Arese RH95 employs the chassis and drivetrain of its donor car. Hence it comes powered by a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V-8 rated at 711 hp and 567 lb-ft of torque. Power goes to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, while the run from 0-to-62 mph takes 3.0 seconds. The top speed is 211 mph.

After a long wait, Rimac Automobili has finally unveiled the Nevera, an all-electric, hypercar that has been designed and engineered to surpass anyone's expectation of an electric car. The Nevera is the production-ready iteration of the Rimac C_Two concept car, which was revealed at the International Geneva Motor Show in 2018. Since then, Rimac's engineers have refined the new flagship car. The Nevera was developed in-house at Rimac's headquarters in Croatia and only 150 examples of the car will be made.

BMW X7 Dark Shadow
BMW X7 Dark Edition
The limited-edition BMW X7 Dark Shadow has been launched in India, priced at Rs 2.02 crore (ex-showroom). Production of the X7 Dark Shadow will be capped at 500 units worldwide, and a handful of these will make it to our shores. There isn't a fixed number of units allocated to India, as BMW India will take orders on a first-come-first-serve basis. The Dark Shadow is based on the range-topping BMW X7 M50d, but costs Rs 36 lakh more, as it packs a number of cosmetic additions that lend it a stealthy appearance.
Unique to the BMW X7 Dark Shadow is the Frozen Arctic Grey metallic paint job from the BMW Individual customization division, making it the first BMW SUV to sport this exterior scheme. Also unique to the Dark Shadow is a black chrome finish for the large kidney grille, a gloss black finish for the roof rails, and 22-inch M light-alloy wheels finished in matte jet black. Being based on the M50d version, it gets the M Sport package as standard, which brings different, more aggressive designs for the front and rear bumpers, a sports exhaust, and M Sport brakes, among other things.

Toyota GR86
The latest version of the rear-drive sports car has a larger 2.4-liter flat-four and is once again nearly identical to the Subaru BRZ.
Toyota has finally revealed the U.S. version of the new 2022 GR 86 sports car, which now wears a GR designation, for Gazoo Racing. The details are nearly identical to its Subaru twin, the 2022 BRZ, and the two rear-wheel-drive coupes feature a new, larger flat-four and various chassis improvements that should make them even more fun to drive than before.
The GR 86's 2.4-liter flat-four officially makes 228 horsepower and 184 pound-feet. That's a useful improvement over the old car's 205 hp and 156 pound-feet. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, with a six-speed automatic optional. Toyota claims it will get to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds; for reference, our test of a 2020 model recorded a result of 6.2 seconds, so we think the new car might be even quicker than Toyota's claim.
