Ducati Panigale V4 and V4s
Ducati Panigale V4
The new Ducati Panigale V4 was revealed last year and comes sporting a handful of cosmetic tweaks and new features as compared to the BS4 model. It gets new Plexiglas, headlight fairing, side fairings, lateral extractors for better airflow to the radiators, and aerofoils. All these aerodynamic elements are taken from the Panigale V4 R and enhance Panigale V4's performance. Both the bikes now come with the latest-generation Ducati Traction Control (DTC EVO 3) and Riding Mode strategy that allows the rider to compare two different configurations on the track to define the best set-up between four pre-set riding modes. The motorcycles also get self bleeding brake and clutch pumps from Superleggera V4 and optional heated grips. Other features available on BS6 Panigale V4 and Panigale V4 S include cornering ABS, slide control, wheelie control, power launch, engine brake control, etc.
BS6 Panigale V4 range is propelled by a 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine that puts out 211 bhp at 13,000 rpm and 124 Nm at 9,500 rpm. This powerplant is paired to a six-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quick-shifter. The Panigale V4 makes use of 43 mm fully adjustable Showa inverted forks with Sachs mono-shock. The V4 S, on the other hand, gets the more sophisticated Ohlins NIX30 43 mm inverted forks with Ohlins TTX36 mono-shock. The braking setup on both the bikes includes twin 330 mm front disc brakes with Brembo Stylema calipers along with a single 245 mm rear disc brake. It is worth noting that Panigale V4 S weighs 195 kg (kerb) which means it is 3 kg lighter than Panigale V4. This is because of the forged Marchesini wheels on the V4 S.

Ducati Diavel 1260
BS6 Ducati Diavel 1260 has not received any design changes as compared to the BS4 model but it uses an aluminium swingarm along with a trellis frame for improved agility. The major difference on the bikes is with regards to the engine; both Diavel 1260 and 1260S now come with a Testastretta DCT 1,262 cc twin cylinder engine which now develops 160 bhp at 9,500 rpm and 129 Nm at 7,500 rpm instead of 157 bhp and 129 Nm. The engine is coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox but the 1260S also gets a bi-directional quick-shifter.
While 1260 gets a 3.5-inch TFT instrument cluster with backlit switchgear, the 1260 S also packs in features like Ducati Multimedia System (DMS) with Bluetooth for telephony and turn-by-turn navigation. Both the Diavel variants get Ducati Power Launch Evo (DPL) system, three riding modes (Urban, Touring, and Sport ), traction control, wheelie control power launch, six-axis IMU, cornering ABS, and cruise control.
