AUSTRIAN GP: Race Guide, Where to watch, What are the odds?

After cleaning up on Max Verstappen in the last couple of races, we’re looking at some different markets for our Austrian Grand Prix predictions.

The flying Dutchman finished an incredible 35.743 seconds clear of Lewis Hamilton at the Red Bull Ring last weekend, helping to give us a trio of successful selections.

However, such a huge winning margin was unusual for this circuit, which will again be used for a quick doubleheader.

Examining the Austrian Grand Prix odds, we like 6/5 for the victor to be under six seconds ahead at the chequered flag, which would have paid out in the last five renewals of this contest.

Verstappen commented: “I had a really enjoyable race, the car was working well and I always enjoy driving on this track.

“I just focused on my own race, concentrating on hitting the apexes in the places I wanted to, looking after the tires – and it worked out well.

“You never know how competitive or how close it’s going to be on a Sunday and, to be honest, I really wasn’t expecting it to be like it was, as the long-run pace between the two teams was very closely matched all weekend.

“Overall, we’ve had a really positive weekend but, of course, it’s not going to be completely the same next week.”
