Key Points:-
- Entry-level A-Class launched at Rs. 39.9 Lakhs.

- AMG A35 4matic launched alongside.
Mercedes-Benz launched the new A-Class Limousine in India at Rs. 39.9 Lakh for the base model, that is, A200 while the A200d is priced at Rs. 40.9 Lakh. Point to be noted that these are introductory prices, the price may increase in coming weeks. Mercedes also mentioned that all A-Class Limousine for the next two months has been sold out already. This version was first showcased in AutoExpo 2020 but wasn't able to launch due to the pandemic.
The A-Class Limousine was first launched in 2018 and replaces the CLA model while coming on its way.
Alongside this, the company also launched the Mercedes AMG A35 4matic at a price tag of Rs. 56.25 Lakhs. Full details of this AMG will be uploaded on our site later today. Make sure to check within few hours (all updates will be provided on our Instagram handle ).
Coming back to the A-Class, being an entry-level model, the company has included all its top features.
EXTERIOR:-
Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine Exterior
Talking about the exterior, it makes a bolder, stronger, and powerful impression at first sight. The long hexagonal grille making its way to the black-swept headlamps with L-shaped signature LEDs. The work on aerodynamics is also done greatly. The shoulder line goes from A-pillar all way back to C-pillar almost joining the taillights.
The air intakes are also well defined which helps in reducing air drag. It also has a customization option where one can choose Style Package in which carbon fiber adds up to the front bumper, B-pillar, rear bumper, and side skirts.
The boot space in the petrol variant is around 405 liters whereas in the diesel variant it has 395 liters of luggage space. It has also got a rear diffuser.
INTERIOR:-
Despite being an entry-level model it comes with a bunch of features including the MBUX with a fully digital instrument cluster and large touch-screen. Also gets the Mercedes Me connectivity suite for a wide range of connected car features such as climate control, ignition on and off, etc. Rest of the features such as electrically adjustable seats with memory function, ambient lighting, wireless charging system, dashcam, and much more.
UNDER THE HOOD:-
Talking about the engine, the Mercedes A-Class Limousine is powered with 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol which offers 161 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque with a 7-speed automatic gearbox. While on the other hand, the diesel variant has 2.0 litre which is capable enough to pull out 147 bhp and 320 Nm of torque, mated with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
My Review:-
Considering the fact that this is an entry-level Mercedes, it has a lot to offer. The specifications when compared to pricing, this is a win-win situation. Can be the best daily-driver with a power-packed performance and loaded features. One can choose this variant of A-Class over the Audi A4 or BMW 3 series.
