Hyperloop is one of the fastest pod travel medium founded by Josh Giegel. It was founded on the 1st of June 2014. Since then it has been developing there first fully functional pod that can be used to travel from one place to another as a public transport medium.
The concept of Hyperloop is that the pod levitates (due to magnetic force) inside the tunnel, creating a sealed and partially evacuated tube. This enables the pod to travel at a very high speed. The tubes will be placed all over the city through which the pod can easily travel. This concept was first introduced by Elon Musk and was then adopted by many others.
Today, the Virgin Hyperloop tested its first pod with humans inside. The passengers were Josh Giegel, CTO of Virgin Hyperloop, and Sara Luchian, Director of Passenger Experience. The pod was a two-seater version called XP-2 pod vehicle. This pod reached a speed of 107 miles per hour (172 Kmph) at the company's DevLoop test site in Nevada, Las Vegas.
The company also mentioned that the passenger pod will be coming soon which has the capacity to hold 28 passengers at a time. They also mentioned that in the future there will be floating pods that can be driven at 600 mph (966 kph).
